The debut release by The Witness. A proof of concept created out of equal parts curiosity, spite, and experience. The Witness manufactures a cacophony of layered sounds with only guitars, bass, and programmed drums. Started as a lark after a tumultuous time with absolutely no goal in mind except to create a different kind of music to travel to the edges of Jack O'Hara Harris' guitar exploration. Bits of Primal Scream, Unkle, and even The Happy Mondays can be heard in its creation. A hint of 2000's era garage rock and early Kasabian can be seen through a squint. All through the layers and layers of exploratory guitars and the singular driving bass lines. The tracks themselves are arranged in order by when they were created which imparts a feeling of a kind of journey. One that becomes sidetracked, as all good travels do, reaching its destination in a roar of ecstatic melancholy befitting its title: Rapture.

Written, recorded, mixed, and mastered in April of 2022 by Jack O'Hara Harris. No synthesizers were used in the making of this album. All music and lyrics written by Jack O'Hara Harris. All vocals performed by Jack O'Hara Harris. All instruments performed by Jack O'Hara Harris. Drums programmed by Jack O'Hara Harris.
